Perfect for pet parents who want to provide their Shih Tuzs with a meal that's as close to nature as possible, this recipe combines lean chicken with wholesome vegetables.
Prep Time 15 minutes mins
- 0.5 lb raw, beef steak
- 0.25 lb raw chicken liver
- 0.1 lb raw, finely grated carrots
- 0.1 lb raw, finely chopped green beans
- 0.05 lb raw, pureed pumpkin (ensure it's fresh or canned pure pumpkin, not pie filling)
- 2 tbsp raw, ground flaxseed
- 1/4 tbsp kelp powder
Start by finely chopping the raw beef steak and liver into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for your Shih Tzu. Ensure all pieces are small enough to prevent choking.
Wash and prepare the vegetables. Grate the carrots and chop the green beans finely to ensure they are digestible and safe for your dog.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef, liver, carrots, green beans, and pureed pumpkin. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of ingredients.
Sprinkle the ground flaxseed and kelp powder over the mixture. Mix again to evenly incorporate the supplements into the feast.
Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
